The One-Day MBA Workshop Series is designed to strengthen the integration of knowledge and practice at MBA level. Knowledge is being transformed into practice through experimentation, critical self-analysis and experience sharing.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
In today’s highly competitive world, executives have to be ahead of the crowd and proactively innovate new strategies, which involve risk and investment.They must be carefully managed to assure success or avoid failure. Setting up a project team aiming at achieving specific goal, giving a budget and limited resources to complete the challenge of a strategic project has been a general practice nowadays. Ability to manage effectively projects and teams to drive organizational success differentiates winners and losers.
The Project Management – Project life cycle workshop aims at providing the students the foundation to grasp the fundamentals and explore the project world. The workshop focuses on project management history, project success and failure and how to start applying project management. Participants will learn the different stages of project life cycle and the essential knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques required to survive through the different project stages. It will be an interactive workshop with hands-on exercises.

Dr Tracy Ng
Dr Tracy Ng has a long career history of IT consulting services with specialisation in project management. In recent years, Dr Ng provides teaching and consulting services in the private sector. At HKU SPACE, Dr Ng traches Project Management of the Examination Preparatory Course for Edinburgh Business School's MBA and Management for Social Enterprises.
