English at Work - Email Writing

Highlights
This practical 18-hour English course equips learners with the confidence and language skills needed to write effective emails in both formal and informal situations.

Emailing is an indispensable task in today’s workplace and business professionals need to ensure that email messages are efficiently written and presented in a way that creates a positive image.  Effective emails take into account appropriate presentation, register and tone. The course focuses specifically on the following language aspects:

Email basics

• Appropriate style and tone
• Grammatical accuracy
• Common language errors in email writing (amongst Hong Kong writers)

After this course, students may enrol in to Business Email Writing which emphasises effective and efficient email writing for the workplace.

TEACHING STAFF

Instructors of the courses are drawn from our panel of qualified and experienced English language team.  Some of them are native speakers; others are local teachers with native speaker competence.

• Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
