小記相約好友Emily光顧街角新開張的人氣咖啡店，排隊時談到明年的假期。
小記：「喂，你聚精會神咁睇緊咩啊？」
Emily：「我研究緊『2022年請假攻略』，原來出年新增嘅法定假日係5月8號星期日嘅佛誕。嗰日係我嘅休息日，老闆會根據《僱傭條例》規定喺之後補假。咁我就可以連放幾日假！」
小記：「法定假日會越嚟越多！由2022年起每兩年逐步增加到17日。出年嘅佛誕只喺個開始。」
Emily：「真係好啦！咁其他有關法定假日嘅安排有冇改變呢？」
小記：「冇變。《僱傭條例》規定，所有僱員，包括家庭傭工，無論每星期工作時數同服務年資，都可享有法定假日。如果按連續性合約受僱滿三個月，即連續受僱於同一僱主四星期或以上，而每星期最少工作18小時，仲有假日薪酬。如果僱主要求僱員喺法定假日工作，僱主就要按條例規定安排補假，唔可以畀錢代替安排僱員放假。想知多啲，可以上勞工處網頁睇下《僱傭條例簡明指南》。」
