The greatest challenge of the 21st century's leaders is to effectively assess and adjust the approach of maximizing staff potential. There are three crucial factors explaining why problem solving capability is so important for leaders, i.e. faster technological and market changes, higher competition and greater operational complexity. Therefore, building credibility, solving problem for business outcome, avoiding group think and reaching consensus become the competencies that are required for a leader.
