PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND COACHING SKILLS FOR LEADERS

People are at the heart of our work, and it is through people that we are able to successfully bring about lasting change in the process of organizational improvement. Good managers care about their own effectiveness, and when their skills improve, they impact those they manage. And leaders who develop a coaching mindset and skills can unlock the potential of their people, and therefore create the next generation of inspirational leaders. This workshop helps leaders purposefully enhance their skills in managing their team(s), and to introduce coaching skills into their day-to-day leadership.

OBJECTIVES

• To enable participants to explore the social and personal context of contemporary people management theory
• To encourage self-examination of management style and the impact of management on subordinates
• To introduce coaching skills into participants’ day-to-day leadership

Programme Details
THE WORKSHOP WOULD BE CONDUCTED AS:

• Mini-lecture with PowerPoint and video
• Experientialactivities and debriefing
• Group discussion and presentation
• Real case problem solving and decision making

WORKSHOP LEADER

Dr. Helen Chau

Dr Helen Chau is a professional and experienced trainer and consultant. She is a certified facilitator of the Leadership Challenge, a certified trainer of Everything DiSC and a member of the Institute of Cognitive Therapy.

Her training portfolio includes Leadership, Project Management, Strategic Decision Management, Strategic Management, Negotiation & Procurement, Conflict Management and Communication & Presentation with key focus on body language skills.  Her consulting experience includes project and process management, new business start-up, training curriculum design, as well as personal professional development.

With over 20 years of senior business management experience in local and multinational organizations and serving as Broad of Director for a HK listed company, Helen is passionate about developing organization and people.
