BIM Practitioner (MEP) Training Course (Intermediate Level)

This 15-hours comprehensive course will lead the participants to learn from creation of a BIM Project, information required in a building envelope, to implementation of 3D MEP modelling technique, up to Project completion. One of the highlights in this course is to illustrate the interrelationship of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems with Architectural and Structural (Arch. & Struct.) requirements so that the learners will have a better understanding of the importance of co-relationship among different disciplines.

REMARKS

SGS Academy BIM (Building Information Modelling) training courses have been pre-approved by the Construction Innovation and Technology Fund (CITF).

Funding ceiling is HK$200,000 per applicant including Levy-paying contractors, Registered Specialist Trade Contractors and Registered Subcontractors, Consultants)

Within the funding ceiling, each person enrolling training is entitled to HK$3,000 per course at maximum.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINER:

Our tutor is a professional member of the Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling, he has a rich knowledge of construction and working experience in Building and Civil Project with more than 5 years of experience in BIM coordination and Modelling. He has extensive experience in BIM training and is the Professional member of the HK Institute of Building Information Modelling.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Upon completion of this 15-hours training course, the participants will be able to manage the 3D modelling technique well, are confident to handle a small scale project with least supervisory and can work independently.

• BS Engineers working for Building / Structural / Building Services Contracting Firms 
• BIM Modeler / Consultant working for Architectural, Structural, Quantity Survey and Building Services Consultancy firms, Building Project Management companies, and Developer of the Project

PRE-REQUISITE REQUIREMENT:

Basic knowledge* with hands-on experience in Revit is required;

Completion of Basic BIM training course is preferable

ASSESSMENT:

Assignment and End Assessment

CERTIFICATION (Attendance: 80%):

A certificate of completion will be awarded to the delegates with 80% of attendance and pass the end assessment.
